Note: The Rome Extension is Optional and was added at the request of several people who would like to spend time in Rome at the conclusion of the Tuscany Trip.
Airfare has been included in the package price but an allowance has been provided should you elect to book your own flight
or use frequent flyer points.
We will be staying at the Grand Victoria Hotel in Montecantini
for the duration of the trip with day trips scheduled to
nearby locations and some of our memorable places like
Pisa, Marina de Pisa, Terrenia, Florence and more...
Dear Friends and LAHS Alumni:
Many of us have been to Italy a few times in the past, but to many of us, it is never enough.
We have another opportunity to visit Tuscany…the heart of Italy and wine country. Italy is famous for all different wines but only in Tuscany can you find Chianti…it is the Chianti region. We have chosen this time to return in the fall when it is cooler and the price is lower. Many of us feel there is no wrong time to visit to Italy.
I have been working with a wonderful company, ABC Destinations, in New Jersey to put together this trip with all the options and destinations that we felt everyone would enjoy in the Tuscany region. The extension in Rome will be at the Hotel Mediterraneo. This is the hotel we stayed at before with the lounge on the roof with the great view overlooking Rome. .

When booking refer to the LAHS Tuscany Tour in October 2012.
Natasha will field all of your personal questions about air transportation or the tour. The prices quoted in the attachments are quoted from JFK. They have also given us an allowance of $850 if you wish to use your own miles to get to and from Rome. However, you must arrive early enough and leave late enough to travel with the rest of the group on the bus from/to Rome or you will have to make your own arrangements from/to Rome. As you can see from the Itinerary and pricing, we will need between 20 and 40 people to get this group pricing…the more people, the lower the price. In the past we have had no trouble filling the bus and I don’t think we will this time either. Invite your friends to join us…however, the initial deadline to reserve your space with a deposit is October 1, 2011. After this date, it will be space available only. The deposit of $500 per person is refundable if you cancel IN WRITING at least 90 days prior to departure date.
Remember this trip will include your air, room, and breakfast and dinner each day in Tuscany (Breakfast only in Rome). In Tuscany, it will also include wine and bottled water with dinner. This also includes all tours each day. Gratuities for the tour guide and bus driver are NOT included.
Attached to this email, you will also find the Standard Travel Insurance Policy with pricing. The price depends on the cost of the tour which will depend on whether you use your mileage and whether you do the Rome extension.
The reservation form must be completed and sent with your deposit via mail or fax.
If you have any general questions, please feel free to call me. Remember this tour is for NEXT year, not this October. So you have plenty of time to plan ahead. However you must book now.
